Lindsay N. Shroyer,
MD
Dr. Shroyer is originally from Cincinnati, OH.
She completed her bachelors at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Shroyer received her doctorate of medicine from Ross
University School of Medicine, and subsequently completed a four
year residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, where
she was chief resident.
She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
She then completed a two year ACGME accredited fellowship in
Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida in
Tampa, FL where she was the chief fellow.
During her USF fellowship, she trained at Moffitt Cancer
Center treating cancer and non-cancer pain, Tampa General treating
pain and headache medicine, Brandon Pain Medicine, Sarasota Memorial
Hospital and the Tampa James A Haley VA working with combat Vets
treating their pain. She
is in the process of credentialing at the University of South
Florida as voluntary faculty to teach fellows in the pain medicine
program.
Given her background as a physiatrist, Dr. Shroyer's passion is to
help patients regain function, whether it's return to work or return
to play. Dr. Shroyer is
committed to lifelong learning, and attends many medical conferences
each year to learn new techniques for treating chronic pain.
Dr. Shroyer uses her physical exam skills as a
physiatrist, to diagnose and treat multiple chronic pain conditions
including neck and back pain, arthritis, neuropathy, joint pain,
complex regional pain syndrome (RSD), cervical and lumbar
radiculopathy, vertebral compression fractures, sacrolilits.
She uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating chronic
pain using physical therapy, medication management, and by
performing epidural steroid injections, facet injections,
sympathetic blocks such as cervical stellate ganglion blocks, lumbar
sympathetic blocks, ganglion impar blocks, celiac plexus blocks and
superior hypogastric blocks, intercostal nerve blocks, Spinal Cord
Simulation, Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty, intrathecal pumps,
sacroiliac joint injections and radiofrequency ablation all under
the guidence of fluoroscopy.
She uses botox
for the treatment of chronic migraine and spascitiy.
She performs electromyography (EMG/NCS).
